Actor-writer B. Harikumar passes away

Famous author, screenwriter and actor B. Harikumar handed away right here on Thursday.

Nephew of late actor Adoor Bhasi, Mr. Harikumar was lively within the Malayalam literary circle. Grandson of novelist C. V. Raman Pillai, Mr. Harikumar penned round 14 novels and over 100 tales. The cremation shall be held at 10 a.m. at Santhikavadam, Thycaud, on Friday.

A local of Thiruvananthapuram, Mr. Harikumar started his profession as a financial institution officer. He revealed two books on Adoor Bhasi – Adoor Bhasi Phalithangal and Chiriyude Thampuran. His necessary novels embody Thaavalam, Pakalvilikku, Maaricham, Chakravarthini, Diana, Karutha Suryan, Gandharvan Para, Kanmani, and so forth. He wrote the anthology of tales titled Agnimeele Purohitham. Mr. Harikumar wrote tales and screenplays for a number of tv serials and telefilms, moreover script for the movie Sanyasini.

He’s survived by spouse, Srirekha, and son Hemant. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed condolences on the author’s demise.
